Information Handled
Browser Shortcut Helper handles only the information needed to provide user-created website shortcuts:
- Open tab titles and URLs, to display supported tabs and let you enable specific tabs.
- Website origins, to scope mappings to the website where they were created.
- Action names, keyboard combinations, and CSS selectors created when you map a webpage action.
- Extension settings and temporary enabled-tab identifiers.
- Backup files that you explicitly export or import.
Depending on the website and selected action, an action name or selector may contain limited information derived from website content.
How Information Is Used
This information is used only to display and manage enabled tabs, locate the webpage action you selected, run your shortcut in the focused enabled tab, store settings and mappings, and export or restore mappings when you request it.
Storage and Retention
- Shortcut mappings and settings are stored using Chrome Storage Sync and may be synchronized by Google to Chrome browsers signed into the same Google account.
- Enabled-tab identifiers are stored in Chrome session storage and are removed when no longer needed or when the browser session ends.
- Exported backup files are saved only when requested and remain under your control.
Sharing and Selling
Browser Shortcut Helper does not sell, rent, share, or transfer extension data to GodinApps, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. The extension contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or remote code.
Google may process synchronized extension data as part of Chrome Storage Sync under Google’s applicable privacy terms.
Support Email
Selecting Support opens your configured email application. The extension does not automatically attach extension data. Any information you include is voluntarily provided and used only to respond to your support request.
Security
The extension runs locally in Chrome, validates imported backups, limits shortcut execution to focused enabled tabs, and refuses to click when a saved selector does not identify exactly one visible action.
User Controls and Deletion
You can edit or delete individual mappings in the extension popup. You can remove all extension data by uninstalling the extension and clearing synchronized extension data through your Google Chrome account where applicable. Exported backup files must be deleted separately.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve Browser Shortcut Helper’s single user-facing purpose and is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, or unrelated purposes.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The effective date will be updated when revisions are published.
